fertility academy

Thanks so much for signing up to more information on the Fertility Academy. You may have signed up for details in 2021 or found us in 2024, either way I’m so happy to share the details of the support that is available to you if you want to take the first step into becoming a fertility expert!

A bit about me, your mentor for Fertility Academy

I have been working in Fertility for over 17 years now, and during this time seen many things change.

In the last 17 years I have met trained and supported many other practitioners and I am in a good place to now pass on my knowledge through a 9 months programme.

This programme includes 70+ hours of direct academic and live case study discussions. Towards the end of the course we bring on guest speakers to help with business and partnership advice.

The course ran in 2021-22 and has helped many practitioners to launch their fertility practice and enabled those with fertility experience to deepen and increase scope and confidence – ensuring they are now in the position to help many people who have or want to become parents.

Hear from some who attended the course this year including a doctor from the US.

what previous students thought of the course…

why become a fertility practitioner...

And Is niching down wise in this current economic climate?

Infertility affects almost 1 in every 6 couples with rates on the rise. In 2018 I spoke at an integrative conference on fertility and pregnancy where over 450 practitioners attended the weekend event. Afterwards many contacted me to ask about mentoring and support as they were keen to pursue this area which I did on a 1:1 basis.

Flash forward to 2024 with rates further on the increase, and the pandemic giving us a pause to think about time and preparation. During this time many people did not have access to IVF  and I saw a huge increase in my business. I was inundated  and as it was just me I didn’t have the time to support everyone in this area. What I noticed as a positive on the pandemic was that I saw many people looking at the link to lifestyle stress and possible fertility issues and from there into alternative forms of therapy in an effort to grow their families. Something I have definitely seen continuing to some degree!

After these huge nudges from the universe and growing my own clinic to 4 practitioners and still being super busy.  I ran my first Fertility Academy mentoring group in 2021, which was a huge success.  Since then it has become a more refined and manageable 9 month to provide you with, a solid foundation of fertility/infertility work-up, diagnosis, and treatment for natural cycle optimisation alone and/or adjunctive to assisted reproductive technology (ART).

If we are heading into a recession, all the more reason to get really knowledgeable so you can save people time, money and heartache of multiple miscarriage and countless unsuccessful IVF rounds.

frequently asked quesitons

Is this course for those practising in this area already or those wanting to practice in this area?

This course is for students in their final year of nutrition or newly qualified practitioners in any country. You will benefit from the resources, the education and the one year access to the Facebook group and lifetime access to course material.

What qualifications do you need to join this course?

You will need to be either an ND, or have a Nutrition qualification to qualify to join this course. This is because we expect a level of Functional and integrative knowledge that has already been taught to you.

Sadly there is only 2 hours given on this subject as a nurse or doctor! So If you are a Nurse, Doctor, herbalist, TCM or acupuncturist practitioner you will have to have  already have studied at Institute of Functional Medicine, https://discover.ifm.org/afmcp/  or done a 2 year additional

course in Naturopathy or Nutrition on this course on top of your modality before joining this.

Will I be able to submit case studies and get feedback?

Absolutely, I share interesting and detailed information on some really challenging cases I’ve had over the years. We also can submit these to the Case study sessions on the course which will be led by the academic information in that month.

I’m newly qualified is this for me?

Yes! This is exactly for you, and also students in their final year of nutritional training.

I’ve been practicing for 3 years and fairly familiar with some of the areas on the curriculum; will their be advanced training in these areas?

We think you maybe more suited to ‘top up’ your skills in a more modular approach to learning if you want a more advanced training in fertility. Click here to let us know about your skills. There are around 6 short courses now available check out @ah_fertility_academy for more on this.
